Normal operations have resumed at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, investigates a fire scare after preliminary findings showed there was no actual fire at the facility.
It was earlier reported that a fire incident had occurred at Terminal 2, with FAAN stating that there were no casualties.
Providing an update on the development, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr Henry Agbebire, disclosed that the smoke observed in the affected area resulted from the discharge of the terminal’s FM-200 fire suppression system.
