FG confirms killing of ISIS deputy commander in Nigeria-US operation

The Nigerian Military and the United States Africa Command have killed Abu Bilal Al Minuki, described as the second in command of ISIS, during a joint military operation in the Lake Chad area.
The development was disclosed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, on Saturday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the operation was carried out after what it described as meticulous planning and successful execution by the armed forces of both countries.
