The federal government has inaugurated a joint task team with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to strengthen transparency, accountability and preventive measures in the management of health-sector resources, particularly the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).
The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, who spoke at the inauguration, said the initiative was aimed at identifying institutional vulnerabilities, closing loopholes and ensuring that public funds allocated to the health sector reached health facilities and Nigerians who need them.
