FG, NYCN, stakeholders propose South East Peace Commission

The Federal Government, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN), and other stakeholders have proposed the establishment of a South East Peace Commission as a new architecture to tackle insecurity and promote sustainable peace and development in the region.
The proposal was the high point of the South East Peace and Stability Summit organised by the Orlu Progressive Initiative (OPI), with the theme: “Building Sustainable Peace for a Prosperous Future.”
