Film Lab Africa Phase Two has officially entered production following a matchmaking event hosted by the British Council in Lagos on May 8, 2026.
The event brought together selected writers, creative producers, mentors, and industry stakeholders, resulting in the pairing of seven writers with seven producers to begin work on seven anthology pilot episodes.
Delivered in partnership with EbonyLife Creative Academy and Iconic Steps UK, Film Lab Africa is an accelerator programme aimed at strengthening Africa’s film and television industry by providing emerging creatives with training, mentorship, industry networks, and market access.
