A fire outbreak at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday temporarily disrupted airport operations, prompting an emergency response from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), which confirmed that no casualties were recorded.
The incident occurred in the morning, with emergency responders from FAAN’s Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) swiftly mobilised to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the terminal.
In a statement released via its official X account, FAAN assured the public that its emergency response team was actively managing the situation.
