Firm deploys AI, WhatsApp to boost learning in varsities

In a move aimed at tackling persistent barriers to quality learning in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions, education technology firm ProjKonnect has launched Gemnex, an artificial intelligence-powered learning platform integrated with WhatsApp to provide students with easier access to personalised academic support.
The company said the platform is designed to improve access to learning resources for university, polytechnic and college students by enabling them to receive course-specific academic assistance through both a dedicated mobile application and WhatsApp, reducing dependence on expensive internet connectivity.
