At least 34,533 persons from 9,845 households have been affected by tropical windstorms, heavy rainfall and flash floods across 15 local government areas of Yobe State since May, the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency has said.
The agency also reported that 11 people had died, while 303 others sustained injuries as a result of the severe weather conditions recorded between May 8 and August 10, 2026.
