A report from intelligence sources have claimed that heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding in a suspected terrorist enclave in the Tumbuns area around the Lake Chad shores.
The enclave is reportedly linked to a faction led by Boko Haram leader Bakura Doro, also known as Abu Umaimata or Abu Umayma.
The sources, according to Zagozola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, said the flooding, which followed days of intense rainfall, submerged parts of the settlement believed to be used by the group as a hideout.
