Foreign institutional investors returned to the Nigerian Exchange as FTSE Russell officially restored Nigeria’s Frontier Market status, triggering selective buying across tier-one banking stocks.
The reclassification, which took place on September 21, 2026, lifted the NGX All-Share Index to 250,614.66 points from 249,804.56 points on Friday, September 18, representing a 0.32 per cent increase and an all-time high.
