Heartbreaking messages written by late Nollywood actor Francis Duru to his wife and his late son have resurfaced online following news of the veteran actor’s passing at age 57.
 
Duru passed away after a brief illness on Friday, October 23, 2026, bringing renewed attention to his personal life and the tragic loss of his 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi , in August 2024.

In the emotional tribute written to his son at the time, Duru expressed deep grief while leaning on his faith, calling Ifeanyi his champion and fighter.
