Gov Fintiri bans illegal mining in Lamurde over rising violence

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has announced an immediate ban on all illegal mining activities in Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The governor imposed the ban to curb the violence that has plagued communities in the LGA over the past months and years.
Fintiri announced the ban on Tuesday at the Government House, Yola, while receiving the preliminary report of the mediation committee set up to resolve the prolonged conflict between the Bachama and Chobo communities in Lamurde LGA.
