Gov Yusuf Inaugurates Water Distribution Channel In Kano After 30 Years Of Inactivity

Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commissioned the resumption of water distribution from the Goron Dutse Reservoir, marking the facility’s return to active service after over 30 years of abandonment.
The commissioner for Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Dr Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, disclosed this in a statement yesterday following the ceremony in Kano.
According to Hashim, the development represents a significant step towards improving the reliability of public water supply across Kano metropolis, with water now being pumped from the Challawa Water Treatment Plant into the Goron Dutse reservoirs for distribution to commu...
