Grammys Remove BTS Performance Videos Following Award Show Boycott

The Recording Academy, organizers of the Grammy Awards, has removed performance videos of global K-pop group BTS from its official website.
 

The removal of the group’s “Dynamite” and “Butter” performance clips followed an official statement from BTS confirming that they would not submit any music for consideration at the upcoming 69th Grammy Awards.

 
According to reports, the group announced its decision in protest of the newly created “Best Asian Pop Music Performance” category, stating a preference for music to be recognized without regional or language-based classifications.
