Group raises concern over worsening hunger, depleted aid to IDPs in N’East

The Platform of Youth-Led Organizations in Humanitarian Action in the North East has expressed concern over worsening hunger and reduction in essential humanitarian assistance to thousands of people displaced by violent attacks in the region.
The group made this known yesterday in Maiduguri, Borno State at an event to review the current humanitarian situation in the northeast.
Spokesman of the group, Mr Stephen Oladepo said that one million of the three million children projected to suffer severe malnutrition this year are in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states.
