Hamburg head coach Merlin Polzin says the club will take no risks with Terem Moffi as the Nigerian striker continues to recover from a knee problem ahead of their Bundesliga meeting with Hoffenheim.
Moffi, who joined Hamburg on a season-long loan from OGC Nice, has been managing the injury since the club’s previous league fixture against Cologne.
The 27-year-old started the match but was replaced by Yussuf Poulsen at half-time after experiencing discomfort in his knee.
Polzin is reluctant to rush Moffi back into action and says Hamburg will continue to monitor his condition during the week before deciding whether he will be available against Hoffenheim.
