INEC chairman warns staff against partisan politics…promises new salary structure

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN), has warned staff of the commission against partisan politics, urging them to maintain neutrality and professionalism in the discharge of their electoral duties.
Amupitan gave the warning on Monday during an interactive session with INEC staff from the South-East region shortly after arriving in Enugu on a working visit to engage traditional rulers and electoral stakeholders in the zone.
He said the commission would not tolerate unethical conduct or actions capable of undermining public confidence in the electoral process.
