Jigawa Community Celebrates 3 Years of Peace After Farmer-Herder Clashes

The Guri Local Government Council of Jigawa State has celebrated three years of sustained peace following years of recurring clashes between farmers and herders in the area.
The chairman of Guri Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Danbarde, disclosed this while speaking to newsmen, attributing the achievement to efforts by the state government under Governor Umar Namadi to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen security.
Danbarde said the prevailing peace had enabled residents to coexist and carry out their daily activities without the recurring conflicts that previously affected parts of the area.
