Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has signed a N63.478 billion supplementary budget for the state and its 27 local government areas for the 2026 fiscal year.
The governor signed the extra budget after the State House of Assembly passed the bill into law.
The supplementary appropriation provides N46.369 billion for the state and N17.109 billion for the councils, representing a combined additional appropriation of N 63.478 billion.
The initial 2026 budget was N901.84 billion, while the councils had a combined budget of N288.85 billion.
