A Kano State High Court has postponed the hearing in a land dispute case involving the Emir of Rano and several other defendants until July 9, 2026.
The case was filed by Inusa Alasan and 26 other plaintiffs, who are challenging the ownership of 27 parcels of farmland located in Gafan, Bunkure Local Government Area of Kano State.
The plaintiffs told the court that they inherited the farmland from their parents and have owned it for many years. They are seeking a court order to confirm their ownership of the land.
The defendants include the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Ado Alasan, Alhaji Muhammad Isah of Bunkure LGA, Syno Hydro Trimming Company, and nine others.
