Kano State Government has inaugurated 12 subcommittees to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and boost citizens’ participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The Chairman of the state Taskforce on Voter Registration Mobilisation and Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ibrahim Waiya, inaugurated the committees on behalf of the state government.
Waiya said the move was aimed at consolidating Kano’s position as the leading state in the country’s CVR exercise while expanding awareness among residents ahead of future elections.
