Kano: Police investigate death of 13-year-old schoolgirl

The police in Kano have commenced a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Maimuna Sani Salihu, a JSS 2 student of St Louis Girls Secondary School, Kano.
A statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Friday indicated that the 13-year-old girl died on June 13.
The statement said the investigation followed a petition by the mother of the deceased, Nusaiba Rabiu Dan Sheriff, adding that a Special Investigation Panel, led by DCP Shehu Idris, has been inaugurated to investigate the case.
