Jurgen Klopp has been tipped as frontrunner to take over as head coach of Germany’s national team following their shock early elimination in the 2026 World Cup.
Current manager, Julian Nagelsmann’s position is believed to be in major jeopardy after a Round of 32 defeat to Paraguay, and Klopp is reportedly open to the role.
Nagelsmann has not been dismissed by the German Football Association (DFB) and has indicated he would not resign but reports from Germany indicate his ouster is near.
According to Telegraph UK , one of Klopp’s remaining ambitions in football is to manage at a World Cup and the 59-year-old would relish the chance to lead Germany at the next finals in 2030.
