Lagos State House of Assembly has received a letter from the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, seeking to reorder the 2026 budget, christened the “Budget of Shared Prosperity”.
The letter, which was read before the House during plenary on Tuesday by the Clerk, Mrs Adenike Oshinowo, outlined the priorities and rationale behind the proposed budget reordering.
Leading the debate, Chairman of the House Committee on Economic Planning and Budget, Olumoh Sa’ad, noted that the 2026 budget had recorded about 69 per cent performance, stressing that the proposed reordering had become necessary to ensure that available resources were channelled to priority areas.
