Lagos, California Sign Sister-state Pact

Lagos State and the State of California, United States, have signed a historic sister-state agreement that will see the two sub-nationals collaborate in various fields, especially in the economy, entertainment, and cultural matters.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the deal was sealed at a colourful ceremony held in Sacramento, United States of America, last Thursday.
He said Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Assemblyman Matt Haney signed the document that symbolises the beginning of a strong partnership between the two cities.
