The Lagos State Government said it would no longer allow car spotting on roads in the state.
Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this in an X post on Tuesday.
Car spotting, a practice in which enthusiasts seek out, photograph or record rare, exotic and luxury vehicles, has become more rampant in Lagos in recent times.
However, there have been calls for its regulation, as critics say it is a form of harassment, encourages extortion, and poses a threat to public safety and security.
