Lagos Pensioners on Contributory Scheme Give 19-day Ultimatum for Payment

Pensioners under the payroll of Lagos State government are mobilising for protest against the state government over delayed payment of their entitlements.
Giving the state government a 19-day ultimatum to pay or face the consequences, the pensioners who are under Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), blamed their planned protest on the systematic delay by their employer.
According to them, “Having spent many years to serve the state government, it would not be fair that we are being subjected to untold pains to receive our entitlements.”
