The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit (Task Force) has warned transport union officials against illegally allocating pedestrian walkways and public spaces to petty traders, describing the practice as a threat to public safety and urban order.
The Chairman of the agency, CSP Adetayo Akerele, issued the warning during a stakeholders’ engagement for the Ikeja Division at the Lagos State Safety Arena, Oshodi.
