The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has expressed concern over the growing dangers posed by the rainy season, disclosing that 353 victims were rescued from road crashes and other emergencies across the state between January and May 2026.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, made the disclosure while reviewing the agency’s emergency response activities and urging motorists, commercial transport operators, motorcyclists and other road users to exercise greater caution amid intensified rainfall and challenging driving conditions.
