The Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, has said operations at the Olusosun Disposal Facility have increased by more than 76 per cent following the rehabilitation of its access road and the opening of additional waste disposal platforms.
The authority disclosed in a statement that it evacuated over 18,660 metric tonnes of municipal solid waste across its disposal facilities within one week.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, made this known during an operations review meeting held at the authority’s headquarters in Ijora-Olopa on Wednesday.
