Poland captain Robert Lewandowski is set to continue his career in Major League Soccer after agreeing a move to Chicago Fire, with the transfer expected to be finalised next week.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the veteran striker has reached an agreement with the MLS club after travelling to Chicago two weeks ago, where he held talks with senior club officials. He is expected to sign his contract early next week before being officially unveiled.
The move will bring one of Europe’s most accomplished forwards to the United States after an illustrious career spanning more than two decades.
