Madagascar, Tanzania Share Spoils In AFCON Qualifier

Madagascar and Tanzania played out a 1-1 draw in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying Group L encounter on Tuesday.
Tanzania took the lead in the 39th minute through C. Kachwele after a closely contested opening period.
The visitors held on to their advantage through half-time despite Madagascar’s efforts to restore parity.
Madagascar eventually levelled five minutes after the restart when N. P. J. Fontaine found the net in the 50th minute.
Both sides pushed for a winner as the match progressed, but neither could break the deadlock, with the game ending 1-1.
