Man, 34, remanded over defilement of wife’s niece

A 34-year-old man, Obasi Ogbonna, has been remanded in prison custody by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court,   Ikorodu for allegedly defiling his wife’s 10-year-old niece.
Ogbonna was arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command on a two-count charge bordering on the alleged defilement of a minor and assault.
The first count reads: “That you, Obasi Ogbonna   ‘M’, on July 27, 2026, at about 3:50 p.m., at No. 5 Alunson Street, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos State, did commit a felony, to wit: defilement of one (name withheld), aged 10 years, by having unlawful carnal knowledge of her, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 137 of the Crimi...
