France captain Kylian Mbappé heads into the 2026 FIFA World Cup with several major milestones within reach as the forward looks to further cement his place among football’s greatest goalscorers.
The 27-year-old is on the verge of becoming France’s all-time leading scorer. Two more goals at the tournament would see him surpass former striker Olivier Giroud, who currently holds the men’s national team record with 57 goals.
