France captain Kylian Mbappé has warned against complacency despite inspiring Les Bleus to a convincing 3-1 victory over Senegal in their opening FIFA World Cup 2026 match.
The Real Madrid forward produced another outstanding display, scoring twice as France launched their campaign with a comfortable win over the African side.
Bradley Barcola also found the net for Didier Deschamps’ men, while Ibrahim Mbaye scored Senegal’s lone goal in an entertaining Group I encounter.
Although pleased with the result, Mbappé stressed that France must remain focused as they pursue a third World Cup title.
