Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have rescued six women and children abducted by Boko Haram during an attack on a town in Borno State.
The freed victims included two middle-age women, two girls and two boys. They were intercepted and rescued by troops on Thursday at a terrorist crossing point along the Amuda–Gava area in Gwoza Local Government.
Operation Hadin Kai spokesman, Lt Col Sani Uba disclosed in a statement yesterday that the rescue was executed through a coordinated operation enhanced by credible intelligence.
