Missing luggage: Qatar Airways faces N11.8m compensation claim

Qatar Airways is facing a legal action after a Lagos-based law firm, Brown & Cooper Solicitors, gave the airline a 14-day ultimatum to recover and return a passenger’s allegedly missing luggage or pay N11.812 million as compensation.
The demand was contained in a letter dated July 25, 2026, written on behalf of Mr. Peter Omopariola Fowoyo, who alleged that one of his three checked bags went missing after he travelled aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR1407 from Doha, Qatar, to Lagos on June 27, 2026.
