Nasarawa 2027: Ombugadu targets gold, lithium wealth for development

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu, has promised to harness the state’s abundant gold, lithium and wolframite deposits to improve the living conditions of its people, declaring that a state so rich in mineral resources should not remain poor.
Ombugadu made the pledge on Saturday in Lafia during the flag-off of his campaign for the 2027 governorship election, where the PDP declared its determination to return to power in the state.
He said Nasarawa was endowed with enormous mineral resources, but expressed concern that the wealth had not translated into prosperity for the majority of the people.
