Kogi Central senstor, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has commended Air Peace for evacuating 533 stranded Nigerians from South Africa, describing the airline’s intervention as an outstanding display of patriotism and humanitarian service amid renewed anti-foreigner sentiments in the country.
The commendation comes on the heels of renewed calls by some South African groups for foreign nationals to leave the country, sparking fears of another wave of xenophobic attacks reminiscent of previous violence against African migrants, including Nigerians.
