NCC boss Maida harps on expansion on investment, broadband connectivity

Executive Vice Chairman, EVC, of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has harped on the need for sustained investment and expansion of broadband connectivity.
He further noted that Nigeria has consumed about 1.6 million terabytes of data in July 2026, which is up from about 1.13 million a year earlier, an increase of almost 47% within 12 months, adding that keeping pace will require sustained investment, both to expand networks and to improve the experience of people already connected.
