NDC: Appeal Court protected Nigeria’s democracy – Dickson

ABUJA — National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senator Seriake Dickson, has described the Court of Appeal’s decision upholding the party’s registration as a protection of Nigeria’s democratic space.
The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, had set aside the June 26 judgment of the Federal High Court, Lokoja, which reversed an earlier decision directing the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to register the NDC as a political party.
The appellate court’s decision followed an appeal by the NDC against the judgment delivered by Justice Isah Dashen of the Federal High Court, Lokoja.
