NDDC Tasks Communities On Protection, Ownership of Public Infrastructure

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has appealed to traditional rulers and community leaders to be vigilant and take collective responsibility in the protection of public infrastructure across the oil-rich region.
NDDC managing director, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, spoke at a stakeholders’ forum on public infrastructure and the prevention of vandalism in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Ogbuku said while the government has a duty to provide basic amenities, communities are responsible for protecting them.
