The Niger Delta Youth Coalition for Peace and Progress (NDYCPP) has appealed to King Asari Dokubo and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, to prioritise dialogue and reconciliation following a recent public exchange linked to a pipeline surveillance contract.
The coalition also urged Niger Delta youths and other stakeholders to avoid inflammatory comments and unverified claims that could strain relationships among communities in the region.
In a statement signed by its president, Pastor Jude Olayinka, the group said traditional rulers had an important role to play in promoting unity, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
