Investors in the Nigerian Exchange Limited, NGX, recorded a massive loss of N3.8 trillion in four trading sessions, ending the week on a bearish note after the management paid a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Data from the NGX showed that from Tuesday to Friday, the Nigerian stock market continued its decline, shedding a total of N3.8 trillion.
Accordingly, the NGX shed N2.932 trillion on Tuesday and Wednesday, N613 billion on Thursday and N257 billion on Friday.
During Friday’s trading, data from the NGX showed that market capitalisation declined by 0.16 per cent to N156.623 trillion, from N156.880 trillion at the previous close.
