Nigerians’ appetite for stronger digital identity protection pushed Bank Verification Number (BVN) enrolments to 69.789 million so far, underscoring the growing role of biometric authentication in the banking system.
Data obtained from the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) website on Monday showed that BVN enrolments rose by 63,336 to 69,789,193 as of August 3, from 69,725,857 recorded on July 27, indicating continued but modest growth in the adoption of biometric identification across the financial industry.
