Nigeria police reaffirms readiness to support state policing implementation

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has reaffirmed its readiness to support the effective implementation of state policing, should it be adopted, while ensuring that the process is guided by the highest standards of professionalism, accountability and operational excellence in the interest of national security.
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji   Disu, gave the assurance yesterday while declaring open a one-day sensitisation workshop on state policing organised by the Nigeria Institute of Police Studies (NIPS) in Abuja.
