Nigeria Records Major Milestone Against Malaria As Prevalence Drops To 15%

The federal government has announced that Nigeria reduced malaria prevalence from 42 per cent in 2010 to 15 per cent in 2025, describing the achievement as a major milestone in the country’s fight against the disease.
Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, disclosed this in Abuja during the national dissemination of the findings of the Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention (PMC) Implementation Research.
