Nigerian Army Regains Control Of X Account 2 Months After Hacking Attempt

The Nigerian Army has regained control of its official X (formerly Twitter) account, @HQNigerianArmy following unauthorised access reported on 29 August 2026.

A statement by the Army Spokesperson Col. Appolonia Anele said the account is now secured, with administrative control fully reinstated, paving the way for the resumption of regular updates on the Nigerian Army’s activities, operations, achievements and institutional developments.
