Nigerian Legion Urges Veterans To Halt Protest, Assures Them Of Pension Payments

The Nigerian Legion has appealed to retired military personnel protesting in Abuja over pension adjustments to suspend further demonstrations and remain calm, assuring them that the federal government is working to settle outstanding entitlements and implement approved pension increases.



The National Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Morenike Grace Henry, made the appeal in a statement on Thursday, commending the veterans for their decision to call off the protest and urging them to embrace dialogue rather than confrontation in pressing their demands.
