Nigeria’s domestic airlines have been shut out of Africa’s top 10 carriers in the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, underscoring the challenges confronting the country’s aviation industry amid rising operating costs, weak passenger purchasing power and mounting pressure on airline capacity.
